I'm getting an error message when trying to send a text. What can I do?

We understand the frustration of encountering an error message while sending a text. Here are some quick checks to troubleshoot:

  1. Check your International credits: The app allows free texting(subject to fair usage) within the US and Canada (+1 country code). If you're trying to text internationally, you'll need to purchase International credits. Check if you have sufficient credits for the recipient's country by visiting the app's credit section or refer to this FAQ article - How can I check my International credit balance?
  2. Verify your internet connection: The app requires a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data) to send texts. Ensure you have a strong signal before attempting again.
  3. If the issue persists: Contact our support team for further assistance. Please provide the following information in your email to support@secondlinenumber.com:
  • Your 2nd Phone Number(s).
  • The country code of the recipient you're trying to text.

Additional tips:

  • Try restarting the app or your device.
  • Ensure the app has the latest updates installed.
  • Check if the recipient's phone number is entered correctly.

We'll do our best to resolve the issue and get you texting again quickly!
